From The Pedantic March Wiki

News from the Western Marches! Six set out from town in pursuit of gold and glory: G'Shank One-Eye (dwarf Barbarian), Ulthan (NPC dwarf), Lanar of Un (Fighter), Flatchet the Faceless (Fighter), Poke-Eye Pete (Thief) and Sedambrino (Magic-User), along with a mule and Clyde the Horse. A pack of playful blink dogs were seen on the way to the Old Sewers, but no encounter occurred. Returning to the second level, and then the altar room, the northern door was now investigated. Nine skeletons rose in a room of demoniac tapestries, but were defeated in pitched battle - so mighty was G'Shank's rage that Sedambrino had to put him to sleep to chill out (while he took a recreational smoke break). Onwards, we found a room with a secret door revealed by flowing water, but it only led back to the L-shaped flooded area. However, eastwards, we found something greater - the throne of a skeleton king, wearing a crown heavy with gemstones and still holding a silver cup with the sign of Supreme Law! As we were prepared, the room was flushed with fiery oil, its undead denizens cleansed in the baptism of flames, and the treasures - precious to the dwarves - retrieved! Now we investigated some of the nearby rat warrens, but a fiery missile triggered a collapse, and we retreated to the hall of columns. We finally checked the SW room in the initial room complex, killing more bugs. A hearty chicken dinner was had outside the ruins in celebration, and a few friendly nomads encountered on the way home. Let it be known that the dwarves of Glen Haig have recovered the cup they have pursued for a hundred years, and shall now bring the fight to Chaos! A chest of gold was the reward for this fortutious find, and along with the crown's gemstones, this was enough to let Flatchet the Faceless advance to Level 2, fairly earning the rank of Warrior! A celebration is now being held at the Lusty Goat, and further adventures discussed - in pursuit of a treasure map found on our first foray!
